◇Eligibility
A person who likes goldfish scooping for elementary school students and above.
However, those who live in Nara Prefecture are limited to those who have passed the Nara Prefectural Qualifier and Yamatokoriyama City Tournament.

*In an effort to internationalize the tournament, foreigners who wish to participate can now enter the national tournament regardless of their address. If you wish, please contact us after filling out the English version application or application form.

◇ Event capacity
　Individual competition elementary and junior high school students: 300 people
　General: 400 people
　Team competition 150 teams (1 team of 3 people)

◇ Awards
Awarded to the top 10 in the individual competition. Awarded to the top 5 in the team competition.
The winner of each category will receive 200,000 yen (100,000 yen per person for the team competition), 20,000 yen for the second place (10,000 yen per person for the team competition), and 10,000 yen for the 3rd place (100,000 yen per person for the team competition). A gift certificate of 5,000 yen per person for team competitions.

◇Deadline for application must arrive by Wednesday, July 13
*If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, participants will be decided by lottery.
All applicants will be notified of the lottery results by postcard in early August.

The “National Goldfish Scooping Championships” is a competition in which goldfish scooping, which is familiar at festival stalls, is positioned as a competition. Participants compete to see how many fish they can scoop in 3 minutes with one poi from a tank filled with 4-centimeter Wakin.
